I finally decided to press the issue and forced the lever down. Turns out that it does actually have a tilt and telescoping wheel. This whole time I was so afraid of breaking the lever that I didn’t put enough force on it. I am not a smart man, Jenny.

It’s a generic manual. I’ve tried the lever in the past but I didn’t want to force it down and snap the lever. Tonight I just didn’t give a fuck.

My e90 is the same way you really have to Puch on the lever. Especially when I first got it. Now it’s not so bad since it’s been used a few times when my wife drives. We’re 13”s apart in height . I drove with the wheel fully out. She has to move the wheel forward if she moves her seat enough touch the pedals.

I thought that was standard on all US-spec BMWs of this era?

It probably was. It just honestly felt like it would have snapped off had I pulled on it any harder, ( heheh), so I didn’t want to put the necessary force into it.

I feel like I adjusted it on a test drive, so it was one of the first things I did when I adjusted my M3 for myself, back in 2014.
